Menu Planning Like a Champ

Mid-Summer Progress Report: I am so busy! I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I accepted my first personal chef job. Now, after almost 2 months, I can say it's challenging at times, yet very rewarding.  I am learning so much! I would say the best and worst part of my job is that I am in in charge of menu planning. Of course each family member has their likes and dislikes, but they also give me A TON of liberties when it comes to the ingredients. They want to see what I can do, and so they really don't steer me in any particular direction unless we are planning for a special occasion....or they decide they want lobster.  Menu planning can be one of the more challenging aspects for me because there are so many things to consider. I treat every dinner the same and I plan in advance whether it’s a large party, or an intimate meal for two.  Also I want everything to be amazing and delicious and the best meal they’ve ever had. So basically everything has to be perfect. These are the questions that go through my head as I begin to brainstorm my menu- they may help you in deciding what to make at your next dinner party!

Here is a look at what I've been up to lately......
