As some of you may know I recently started a new job as a Personal Chef and it has required me to travel to Martha’s Vineyard for the summer. Don’t you feel sorry for me already? It is beautiful here, I am staying 2.5 miles away from the beach, and not a single stop light to be seen on the entire island. It’s true, stop lights aren’t allowed, and I kind of love it.
Top Chef Tour New Orleans
So I used to have an internship with a food blog here in New Orleans. Unfortunately it didn’t work out and I was left with one piece that never made it onto the blog. I didn’t want my work to go to waste so I am posting it here, even though it’s a bit late….
Italian Wedding Cake
My sweet friend Candice got married this weekend!! She asked if I would help her out with a cake for her Bridal luncheon that she was going to have for all the ladies in her life and her bridesmaids. Hong Kong Haul
I went on a very fun and productive shopping trip to one of my favorite places in New Orleans! The Hong Kong Market is in Gretna on the West Bank. It’s a huge asian market that is filled with lots of goodies! I don’t make it here as often as I’d like. The drive always…
Black Bean & Corn Empanadas
We recently had empanadas on the menu at work and I made the dough and helped to assemble them. It was much easier than I imagined, and they were so flaky and delicious. I couldn’t stop thinking about them and I decided to make a vegetarian version at home. They are typically cooked in a…
